The
Fraternal Order of Police
is the nation’s largest police organization with a membership of
322,000. Founded in 1915, the F.O.P. represents professional, full
time officers from all agencies of law enforcement.
Nationally
Our National Lodge is actively involved with legislation in Washington,
D.C., ensuring protection of the rights of law enforcement officers.
The direct result of the leadership in the F.O.P., is the Public Safety
Officers Benefits of $150,000.00. Paid to the families of officers
killed in the line of duty.
In New Mexico
The State Lodge was formed in 1954 and is proud to be New Mexico’s
largest and one of the oldest law enforcement organizations. We
boast a membership of approximately 2,500 active members, organized in
